Ben joined Miller Financial Group, LLC in January 2012 as an Investment Advisor Representative and has over 6 years of experience working in the investment industry.

Ben serves his clients in many ways including comprehensive financial planning and portfolio management.  He has become our social security expert and has spent countless hours studying the nearly 500+ claiming techniques available to retirees. Ben can often be found accompanying clients to the local social security office to help in the application for benefits process.

Ben was born in Boise, Idaho but grew up in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Business. Ben also studied at Vienna University of Economics and Business in Vienna, Austria where his love for international markets, finance, culture and travel began.

Ben is married to his best friend and beautiful wife, Amanda. They have 2 adorable little girls, Evy and India (ages 4 and 2) and another baby on the way, due in May 2016.

Outside of the office, Ben enjoys spending time in the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest and can often be found standing ankle deep in one of Oregon’s many beautiful alpine lakes or streams with a fly rod in hand. He loves fly fishing, camping, running and adventuring with his girls any chance he can get.

Ben also is passionate about giving back to the community. He is involved in several non-profits doing justice work around the city and the globe. He serves on the advisory board of Fly Fishing Collaborative, a local non-profit, and is also involved in humanitarian work in India and Zambia.
